The Butterfly House: A Safe Haven for Women in Recovery

At Good News Home, we have been providing compassionate addiction recovery services to women for over four decades. Despite our program's high success rate, one of our greatest challenges remains helping residents transition to independent living after graduation due to the scarcity of affordable housing.

The rising cost of housing, driven by factors such as inflation and a shortage of rental properties, makes it especially difficult for women in recovery to secure stable, affordable housing once they complete their rehabilitation.

To bridge this gap, we launched the Butterfly House—a temporary housing solution for women transitioning to independent living. The Butterfly House offers a safe, sober, and supportive environment where women can continue their recovery while working towards securing permanent housing within one year. Residents receive ongoing support from a Peer Recovery Specialist and our experienced team to assist with both their recovery and personal development.
